Real Madrid goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois has hit out at his teammates after they suffered a shock 3-2 UEFA Champions League defeat against RB Leipzig on Tuesday.
Goals from Christopher Nkunku, Josko Gvardiol and Timo Werner ensured RB Leipzig defeated Real Madrid in Germany.
However, Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo did score for Carlo Ancelotti's side.
But Courtois was furious at Real Madrid's collapse during the match, insisting that the Los Blancos have to wake up because they defended badly against the host.
The result leaves Real Madrid still top of Group F with ten points from five games, but RB Leipzig are now just one point behind them.
"Sometimes we go out asleep, without aggressiveness or intensity, and against a team like Leipzig, you pay dearly. The coach had warned us that they scored a lot of goals in their last five games at home and even, so we went out there wrongly," Courtois said at his post-match press conference after the game.
"It cannot be that in two corner kicks, they scored two goals and we defended so badly in the second. We scored the goal before the break, but in the second half, we failed many passes, controls, and it wasn't a good game.
"We have to wake up, a bad day can happen because there are many games in a row in a short time, but intensity cannot be lacking even if we're tired. There are players on the bench and you've to give one hundred percent every second."
