Arsenal boss, Mikel Arteta, has explained that his team defeated Tottenham Hotspur 3-1 in Saturday's Premier League tie at Emirates because his players played with passion and calmness.
Arteta also gave his verdict on midfielder Thomas Partey's goal for Arsenal against Tottenham.
Goals from Partey, Gabriel Jesus and Granit Xhaka gave the Gunners all three points against Tottenham.
Harry Kane did score for Antonio Conte's side as Emerson Royal received a red card in the second half.
Speaking at his post-match press conference, Arteta said, "I could sense it straight away since the day they came back from internationals they were ready and focused for it. It is so meaningful and we know what's at stake in this game, it's a bit more than three points. You have to play with that passion and as well with that coolness in your head. I think the players did that brilliantly today. I think we deserved to win the game."
Commenting on Partey's goal, the Spaniard added, "The moment that the ball was going into the net and I could see it was going into the net! And then of course the celebration."
