Barcelona coach, Xavi Hernandez has said that Bayern Munich defeated his team 2-0 in Tuesday's Champions League tie because his players were not clinical in front of goal.
Xavi also said that Barcelona made mistakes in the two boxes during the encounter in Germany.
Two goals from Lucas Hernandez and Leroy Sane gave the Bavarians the victory over the LaLiga giants at the Allianz Arena.
"When you let teams off the hook in the Champions League, against sides of this level, you end up paying," Xavi told Movistar.
"We were better. We had six or seven really clear chances, but Bayern are not so forgiving."
"The first goal is a mistake from a set play in terms of marking and the second goal is because we didn't make a foul," Xavi added. "They do it to stop transitions. It's about competing."
"The result does not reflect the game. You dominate, create more chances and you end up paying for not being clinical.
"But we will take the positives and even though it was a negative result, we can learn from the errors. It's a step back. We did enough to draw if not win, a defeat is not deserved, but we made mistakes in the two boxes."
