Chelsea are close to agreeing a deal with Barcelona to sell Marcos Alonso.
Alonso will become surplus to requirement in Thomas Tuchel's squad, following the impending arrival of Marc Cucurella from Brighton.
This was confirmed by Fabrizio Romano on Friday morning.
"Barcelona are really close to signing Marcos Alonso! Talks are progressing well with Chelsea after Cucurella deal completed, personal terms agreed months ago. Been told it's now really close.
"Parties waiting for Tuchel's green light but now finally confident," Romano tweeted.
Chelsea have already lost Andreas Christensen to Barca this summer, with the Denmark international leaving as a free agent.
However, captain Cesar Azpilicueta will stay at Stamford Bridge, after agreeing a new two-year deal.
