A Dubai-bound Nigerian lady has narrated how she was arrested by men of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) after hard drugs was found in the parcel she received from a friend.
The lady, identified as Ms. Ebhodaghei Gloria Osenemeshen, made the news recently after she was apprehended by NDLEA officials during the outward clearance of passengers of Rwanda Air via Kigali to Dubai, UAE.
In a statement released by spokesperson of the agency, Femi Babafemi, he said sachets of Tramadol hidden inside garri were found in her luggage.
"She however claimed that the bag was given to her by someone who she passed the night in his house before coming to the airport to help deliver to another person in Dubai," he added.
Following her release from NDLEA custody, the lady has taken to social media to share a video compilation of the incidents leading to her arrest.
In the video, Gloria who was excited to leave the country, showed how she went shopping, fixed her hair and nails days before her planned trip.
A day before her trip, she went to a hotel close to the airport to spend the night, however, when it was time to leave the country, she was arrested by NDLEA officers for being in possession of drugs.
Speaking on what truly transpired, Gloria said she was given a bag by someone to deliver to his brother when she got to Dubai unknown to her that there was drug in it.
Fortunately for her, she has been vindicated and released by the NDLEA and has vowed never to collect a parcel from anyone again.
