Chelsea are open to the idea of signing Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United this summer, according to reports.
The 37-year-old has indicated to United that he wants to leave Old Trafford before the end of the transfer window in order to play Champions League football next season.
United, however, are adamant that they do not want to sell the forward, who scored 24 goals in all competitions last season.
Ronaldo's agent, Jorge Mendes, has already met with Chelsea's new co-owner Todd Boehly to discuss a potential deal for the Portugal international.
And according to Sunday World, Boehly 'made it clear' during his meeting with Mendes that Chelsea could be an option for Ronaldo.
Chelsea are in the market for a new forward following the departure of Romelu Lukaku, but Ronaldo's £480,000-a-week salary would need to be reduced.
Speaking about Ronaldo's arrival at United last year, Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel made it clear that he is a huge admirer.
'I think it is not a secret that any team in the world without Cristiano [Ronaldo] is in some parts of the game a weaker team,' Tuchel said.
'He is one of the greatest who has ever played this game, and he proves it every time he is on the field.
