AC Milan are interested in taking Hakim Ziyech on a season-long loan from Chelsea, with talks reportedly underway.
The Morocco international joined from Ajax in 2020 for around £36m but has had a pretty underwhelming time under Frank Lampard and Thomas Tuchel since then.
Injuries have not helped, but the 29-year-old started just 15 Premier League games in his first season and 14 over the last campaign, scoring six league goals for the Blues.
It has not been the return that the west London club was hoping for and they are open to letting him leave this summer if a deal can be reached.
Italian publication TuttoMercatoWeb report that talks have begun between AC Milan and Chelsea over a loan for the upcoming season and the player is very keen to make the switch.
The issues will be over Ziyech's salary at Stamford Bridge, which is believed to be around £5m-a-year, while a loan fee and any option or obligation to buy must be agreed between the clubs.
AC Milan are very unlikely to pay the Moroccan what Chelsea pay him, so the Premier League side would either have to pay some of his wages or the player agrees a pay cut.
Romelu Lukaku has already completed a loan switch from Stamford Bridge to Milan this summer, moving to former club Inter for the season to come.
Chelsea are expected to make a number of signings before the season starts, both in attack and defence, with replacements needed for outgoing forwards and centre-backs.
Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen have already departed, meaning Thomas Tuchel needs at least two new central defenders, while a winger and possibly a central striker are likely to join as well.
