Toure has been working at Tottenham's academy since last December to get some experience under his belt as he looks to earn his coaching badges.

The former Ivory Coast captain is aiming for his A licence and could be given a full-time role at Tottenham, with talks over his future to take place in the coming weeks, according to The Evening Standard.

The report added that the 38-year-old has increased his workload in recent months, and Spurs are pleased with his development and could reward the former midfielder with a full-time contract.

Negotiations are set to start following the conclusion of the Under-18 season, with Tottenham finishing 9 out of 14 in the south division.

Toure, who hung up his boots in 2020, worked in a department overseen by academy manager Dean Rastrick, working alongside Chris Powell, and has had no direct involvement with Tottenham's first team.

He has previously spent time working with QPR and the FAW and has held coaching positions at the Ukrainian side Olimpik Donetsk and Russian club Akhmat Grozny.
