Barcelona captain, Sergio Busquets, has suggested two conditions that may make Paris Saint-Germain's Lionel Messi return to Camp Nou in the near future.
Messi left his boyhood club Barcelona on a free transfer to join PSG last summer.
His probable exit from PSG has escalated ever since he was jeered by his own fans following their recent elimination from the Champions League.
But Busquets believes Messi could come back to Barcelona if manager, Xavi Hernandez, opens the door for him and if he [Bisquets] told the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner that he would give him the club's captain armband.
Speaking to RAC1 (via MARCA), Busquets said, "Of course I miss him. On the field and off it. What he gave us, what he did, no one else did. He made a huge difference. After so many years, it is normal to miss him. I am sure he will miss me too."
"At first, it was difficult. It was a shock for us too. We are still here, but imagine it for him. Changing city, changing team, changing style. When you don't win, you are not happy. I wish him the best."
The Spanish midfielder added: "I would like Leo to come back, but I know it's very difficult. He has a contract, how he left. If Xavi told him that the doors are open, imagine me as his friend and teammate. I would give him the armband. He always has my admiration and respect."
