Head coach of the Ghana national team, Otto Addo has given reasons his team failed to beat NIgeria in the first leg of their 2022 World Cup playoffs in Kumasi on Friday.
Despite intense home support inside the Baba Yara Stadium, the Black Stars failed to score or win the game.
They also endured a scare with 20 minutes left, as the referee awarded a penalty, before overruling it following a VAR check.
Speaking after the match, Addo admitted his players made few mistakes despite getting the upper hand in the early part of the game.
"First of all, we did well even though we made some mistakes but we started well.
"There was just a little bit of fatigue and it made Nigeria come into the game more," he said.
Both countries meet again on Tuesday at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja, to decide who gets the World Cup ticket.
