Former La Liga star Antonio Cassano has slammed Barcelona forward Memphis Depay, accusing him of behaving like he was Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo.
According to Cassano, the 28-year-old Netherlands International is not even good enough to play for the Blaugrana.
Depay joined Barcelona from Olympique Lyon on a free transfer last summer, signing a two-year deal after Messi left the club ahead of the 2021-23 campaign.
The Dutchman has made 27 appearances across all competitions, scoring ten goals and providing two assists.
However, former Italy International, Cassano has not been impressed with Depay's contributions to the Catalans giants so far, slamming the former Manchester United forward for putting up Messi and Ronaldo's attitude, while, in reality, he cannot lace their shoes.
"He [Depay] is not up to Barcelona's level. He feels like he is Messi and Cristiano [Ronaldo], you can tell from his attitude. He thinks so, but the reality is that it's hard for him to play at Barca, at that level," he told DAZN.
He went further to suggest to Barcelona to sign another top striker on the level of retired Sergio Aguero.
