Nigeria vs Ghana: I've not been my best since playing for Nigeria in AFCON 2021 - Aribo

England born attacking midfielder, Joe Aribo has said he has not been at his best for his Scottish club Rangers since after representing Nigeria at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations played earlier this year in Cameroon.

Aribo has scored one goal and provided just two assists in nine appearances across all competitions this calendar year.

And speaking to the press before Rangers' game against Aberdeen, the Nigeria international said he is currently experiencing a dip in form and wants to prove.

"For me personally, I've wanted to get more numbers in terms of goals and assists, I think for myself I've not been at my best compared to how I was before I left for my international," Aribo said.

"But, in football, you have these dips in form throughout a season. Hopefully, I can move past that and come tomorrow you can see a strong performance and move forward from there. "

The England born midfielder vowed to work extra hard to ensure he returns to the form he was at before joining the Nigeria squad in January.

Aribo has been included in Nigeria's list of players to tackle Ghana in the World Cup playoff later this month.
