Super Eagles goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye, has admitted that he can only fight to save Sparta Rotterdam from getting relegated from the Eredivisie.
According to him, he can do nothing about Watford's Premier League status.
Okoye stated this in an interview with Rijnmond.
"It is concerning for me that Watford is also facing relegation, but I can only help Sparta now.
"I will do everything I can to keep Sparta in the Eredivisie. I can't help Watford now," he said.
Watford signed Okoye for an undisclosed fee from Sparta Rotterdam in November 2021.
However, the Super Eagles stopper will spend the rest of this season with the Dutch club.
Okoye has made 19 league appearances for Sparta, conceding 29 goals and keeping only three clean sheets.
