Shehu Sani, a senator and the President of the Civil Rights Congress of Nigeria and the Chairman of Hand-in-Hand, Africa, has criticized Nigerian students who want to study overseas.
The senator mocked them on Twitter in response to the current spat between Russia and Ukraine and the federal government's request to remove Nigerian students in the nation.
On Thursday, the House of Representatives urged the federal government to work with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to ease the removal of students who may be caught in the crossfire and protect their safety.
In response, Shehu Sani stated that this is what occurs when children choose to struggle overseas rather than in their home country.
He advised them to stay at home and enroll in federal or state colleges, stating that working with ASUU is preferable to fighting wars and prejudice.
