Senegal forward, Sadio Mane went straight to tearful Egyptian forward, Mohamed Salah after his winning penalty downed the Pharaohs in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFON) final on Sunday.
Mane and Salah went head-to-head in the 2021 AFCON final showdown, and after agonizingly losing on penalties, the latter couldn't help but shed a tear.
The Liverpool star, who scored the winning penalty for Senegal, was quick to comfort Salah and offer words of encouragement to the Egyptian captain.
Mane classily took a break from Senegal's wild celebrations to have a quiet talk with his friend and club teammate, Salah.
Recall that the AFCON final ended in a goalless draw after both Senegal and Egypt failed to score after 120 minutes.
The penalty shootout ended in a 4-2 scoreline in favour of Senegal.
