Former England manager, Fabio Capello, has urged Manchester United to sign Bayern Munich striker, Robert Lewandowski.
Capello believes Lewandowski is the 'best striker' in the world and will do well at Man United playing alongside Cristiano Ronaldo.
Recall that Lewandowski, who recently finished in the second position in the 2021 Ballon d' Or behind winner Lionel Messi, has been linked with a move to the Premier League.
But Capello, a former Real Madrid manager, believes the Poland international can become Man United's true centre-forward.
Recall that Ronaldo has been the preferred striking option under both former Man United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and current interim boss Ralf Rangnick.
"I hope Lewandowski wins. I'm a Messi fan but I would not have voted for him. I think the Pole deserves the award. I think he is still the best striker even if Neymar, Haaland, and Mbappe will be his competitors in the future," Capello told Sky Italia when asked during the Globe Soccer Awards who he felt should pick up the main award.
He added: "Lewa could leave Bayern. I know there are rumors, I would see him do well everywhere, but in the Premier League there is a team that lacks a true centre-forward and it is Manchester United which now uses Cristiano Ronaldo in that position."
