UCL: Rangnick drops De Gea, names two players that will start against Young Boys

Manchester United interim manager, Ralf Rangnick, has confirmed that Dean Henderson will start ahead of David de Gea, in their final Champions League group game against Young Boys on Wednesday.

Rangnick also revealed Donny van de Beek in midfield.

Jesse Lingard and Luke Shaw are also in contention after making their return from injury.

Rangnick began his time in charge of the Red Devils with a 1-0 win against Crystal Palace on Sunday.

United return to Old Trafford on Wednesday already assured of finishing top of Group F.

The new boss is ready to rotate his squad ahead of the busy Christmas period, and those plans will be bolstered by United's alleviating injury issues.

However, the game has come too early for Varane and Cavani.

"They both cannot play tomorrow but they were part of the training today.

"Edi even yesterday, Rapha the first time. Expect them both in full training next week.

"Both are top players. It is also about sustainability. It would be great to have them as soon as possible, but obviously for more important for the rest of the season," Rangnick said.
