Paris Saint-Germain defender, Sergio Ramos, has backed teammate, Lionel Messi, to win the Ballon d' Or this year.
Ramos described Messi as a unique football player, adding that he deserves to win the Ballon d' Or.
France Football will present the 2021 Ballon d'Or award on Monday.
Messi was nominated in the 30-man Ballon d' Or shortlisted recently.
The former Barcelona captain, who led Argentina to win the Copa America this year, will rival Chelsea's Jorginho, Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski, Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo, Liverpool's Mohamed Salah, among others for the Ballon d' Or.
Asked if he wants Messi to win this year's Ballon d'Or, Ramos told ESPN after PSG's 3-1 win over Saint-Étienne on Sunday: "Yes, of course, I'm going to defend the guys in my team.
"I wish him all the luck in the world."
"He's in good shape, and I think he's the kind of player who really makes a difference," Ramos added.
"He's a unique player and it's a privilege to have him in the team.
"I think that bit by bit, each of us is going to bring our own quality to make Paris Saint-Germain even greater and achieve the things we want to achieve."
