Paris Saint-Germain boss, Mauricio Pochettino, could be heading to Manchester United to take over from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, according to The Telegraph.
The newspaper reports that the Argentine has provided a huge boost as Manchester United weigh up potential alternatives to Solskjaer.
The report says that Pochettino is keen on returning to the Premier League after he was sacked by Tottenham.
Manchester endured a difficult start to the 2021-22 season with their recent defeats to Liverpool and Manchester City.
With the recent results, Solskjaer's position at the club is currently under immense scrutiny.
Things are expected to change after the international break or the Norwegian may lose the backing of United board.
Man United's next games are against Villarreal and Chelsea, both away, before Arsenal visit Old Trafford at the start of December.
While believing that a change could happen, the club have drawn up a shortlist of potential replacements that could be drafted in.
Pochettino might be United's number one target, with the Argentine having a number of admirers at Old Trafford, even the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson.
But Paris Saint-Germain recently triggered a clause in Pochettino's contract to extend his deal until 2023, meaning he will cost a lot of money to extract from the French capital.
Pochettino is believed to be slightly disappointed at PSG over the criticism he has received since joining the club despite dominating in Ligue 1 and making an unbeaten start to their Champions League campaign.
