Former Manchester United player, Paul Parker, has told current manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to strip Harry Maguire of the captaincy because he is not "a good fit".
Parker insists the decision to make Maguire the skipper "didn't make any sense".
Following the departure of Ashley Young in January 2020, Maguire was installed as United's new captain.
"Manchester United gave Harry Maguire the captain's armband too early.
"It surprised a lot of people, it didn't make any sense and it hasn't been a good fit from day one.
"With captains, it is not about who has the biggest transfer fee or who is the best player. There's much more to it than that.
"He isn't the right player to be a captain at this moment in time. He has a lot in his game that needs rectifying," Parker said.
