Paris Saint-Germain star, Lionel Messi, has overlooked Gerard Pique and named the Barcelona players he is still in touch with.
Messi and Pique both played an integral role in the most successful period in Barcelona's history.
The pair won together and suffered together at Camp Nou.
Messi left Barcelona to join PSG in the summer transfer window after Barca president, Joan Laporta, failed to renew his contract at Camp Nou due to LaLiga regulations.
Asked who he still keeps in touch with at Barcelona, Messi told Sport ahead of PSG's away Champions League clash with RB Leipzig on Wednesday: "Yes, I speak with Kun Aguero, who wasn't a teammate at Barça but is a close friend. With Busquets and with Jordi Alba as well."
"Those that I expected to support me did so," Messi added.
"I took them all by surprise, like me. They were by my side supporting me the whole time."
Recall that Messi missed out on playing with international teammate Aguero at club level.
Aguero only arrived in Barcelona over the summer from Manchester City.
Meanwhile, Messi was excluded from PSG's squad to tackle Leipzig on Wednesday night.
Meanwhile, the director of Spanish outlet SPORT, Lluis Mascaro, revealed fresh information about Messi and Pique this week.
Speaking on Radioestadio Noche, Mascaro said: "Messi knows that Pique told [Joan] Laporta that if Messi left [the club] nothing [bad] would happen."
