Barcelona have confirmed that their veteran defender, Gerard Pique, sustained a right calf strain ahead of their UEFA Champions League clash with Dynamo Kyiv on Tuesday night.
Barcelona disclosed this in a statement via their website on Sunday.
The LaLiga giants head to the game following a 1-1 draw against Deportivo Alaves at Camp Nou at the weekend.
"Tests this morning confirmed first-team player Gerard Piqué has a right calf strain and will be out for the foreseeable future," Barcelona's statement read.
Barcelona are in the Champions League Group E, alongside Bayern Munich, Benfica and Dynamo.
The Catalan club are in the third position in the club with three points from three games.
They recently lost 3-0 to Bayern Munich and Benfica, respectively.
