Anthony Martial's wife, Melanie, has hit back at Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer over a claim that the striker has been unavailable due to injury ahead of the Red Devils' Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend.
Solskjaer had earlier this week indicated that Martial was now in contention to feature following his spell on the sideline.
Martial scored in his last appearance for Man United in their 1-1 draw against Everton on October 2.
The 25-year-old has not been included in Man United's last three matchday squads and was left out in their 3-0 victory over Tottenham on Saturday.
But Melanie is now insisting that Martial has been fit and available for selection.
When asked by a fan on Instagram on Saturday if her husband was injured, Melanie replied: "Anthony has never been injured. He only had food poisoning two weeks ago."
In a separate post on Instagram, Melanie also showed a short clip of Martial cycling alongside the caption: "Never give up".
