Bayern Munich star, Thomas Müller, has reacted to his side's German Cup 5-0 defeat to Borussia Mönchengladbach on Wednesday.
Müller also exempted goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, adding that the rest of Bayern Munich players did not perform well against Mönchengladbach.
Bayern Munich suffered their biggest loss in 43 years against Mönchengladbach, following a goal from Kouadio Kone and two braces each from Ramy Bensebaini and Breel Embolo.
Reacting to the development, Müller said at his post-match press conference, "We never got to the point where our Bayern engine kicked in.
"We can only apologise to the fans and apologise to Gladbach. With the exception of Neuer, it was a catastrophic performance from us.
"I haven't experienced anything like that before. It's difficult to wrap your head round. We have to put it behind us now, because we've got a game on Saturday."
