Manchester United forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, was disappointed with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's decision to drop him against Everton before the international break.
Ronaldo has told Solskjaer to play him in every Premier League game, except he is not fit enough.
Solskjaer received criticism for his decision to rest the 36-year-old in the 1-1 game, with Sir Alex Ferguson caught on camera saying that the United manager "should always start with your best players".
According to The Sun, Ronaldo has told Solskjaer that he will let him know when he needs a rest.
"Ronaldo was extremely disappointed for being benched.
"Ole presumed that he was tired after the Villarreal game, so he decided to only put him on early in the second half.
"But Cristiano told him that he will tell him when he isn't fit to play and that he wants to play in every single league game.
"He also told him that he has come here to win trophies and that United need to play their most important players in all of the games," a source told the newspaper.
