Arsenal hero, Ian Wright, has snubbed Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo, Paris Saint-Germain's Lionel Messi and named Liverpool's Mohamed Salah as the best player in Europe on current form.
Wright believes Salah is "probably" the best player in Europe on current form following his sparkling start to the new season with Liverpool.
Salah has been impressive for Liverpool so far this season.
The Egyptian international is currently the joint top goal scorer in the Premier League with six goals alongside Leicester City's Jamie Vardy.
The former Chelsea star was also named among the 30-man nominees for this year's Ballon d' Or.
Asked if Salah is the best player in Europe on current form, Wright told Optus Sport: "Probably at the moment with his form you could put him up there.
"I am trying to think of who else is playing as good as he's right now and it is very hard for it to jump out at you because he's playing so well.
"When Liverpool signed Salah, I was thinking, "Mo Salah?! Interesting!", but the season he had you are thinking: 'My gosh!'
"He seems to me to have gotten back to that form at this stage. For me, at the moment, he probably is in the best form of his career and he is probably the best in Europe at the moment."
Salah's current contract with Liverpool will expire in the summer of 2023.
