Atletico Madrid star, Luis Suarez, has insisted that Barcelona is 'special' to him because of the moments he experienced during his time at Camp Nou.
The Uruguay forward, however, said that he must now give his hundred per cent work to Atletico.
Suarez said this while reacting to Atletico Madrid's LaLiga 2-0 win over Barcelona on Saturday night.
Atletico Madrid defeated Barcelona 2-0 at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano, thanks to goals from Thomas Lemar and Suarez.
Recall that Suarez was told that he was surplus to requirements when Ronald Koeman took charge as Barcelona manager.
"I'm happy with the team's victory, which is what we wanted," Suarez said at his post-match press conference after the game.
"The opponent are special due to the moments I experienced, but my work must be dedicated 100 per cent to Atletico and today, we did everything possible to take the three points."
Suarez will now hope to continue his impressive display for Atletico when they face Granada in their next game after the international break.
