Chelsea defender, Cesar Azpilicueta, on Wednesday night, equalled the club's legends, Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard's Champions League records after starting in his side's 1-0 defeat against Juventus.
Azpilicueta became the seventh Chelsea star to start 50 games in the European club competition alongside Drogba and Lampard.
Other Chelsea players in this exclusive rank are John Terry, Branislav Ivanovic, Peter Cech, and Ashley Cole.
However, Azpilicueta's milestone didn't end well as Chelsea bowed to Juventus in Turin.
After a goalless first half, Federico Chiesa put the Serie A giants ahead just 10 seconds into the second half, shooting past goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.
Juventus blew away a good chance to double their advantage later, although Thomas Tuchel's side finished the stronger.
Unfortunately, Romelu Lukaku and Kai Havertz could not keep their efforts on target.
Having played for 62 minutes, Azpilicueta was subbed off for Trevoh Chalobah, the same time Hakim Ziyech was replaced by Callum Hudson-Odoi.
Since joining Chelsea from Olympique Marseille in 2012, Azpilicueta has been a major force in Stamford Bridge.
The Spaniard has enjoyed a trophy-laden spell that included winning the Champions League and two Europa League titles.
