Paris Saint-Germain right-back Achraf Hakimi has said that he was left surprised by the behaviour of Lionel Messi in the dressing room.
Messi joined PSG this summer following Barcelona's inability to extend his 21-year career in La Liga due to financial constraints.
Although Messi is yet to score a goal for the French side, he has been the subject of praise from Hakimi.
"For Messi to leave Barça, like everyone else, I didn't expect it. A dream for me! I played with many great players and the only one I missed was Messi! I am proud to evolve with such a good footballer," he told French outlet L'Equipe.
"To progress, I will pay attention to how he trains, how he plays. It will grow the team and each of the players that make it up. We speak the same language, in addition, little by little we are getting to know each other.
"Building a technical relationship with him is easy! I give him the ball, I run and he will put it where it belongs! (Laughs) I was surprised by the way he behaved, he is simple, quiet."
Messi, a six-time Ballon d'Or winner, shocked the sports world when he decided to leave Barcelona, a club he had represented for 21 years.
The 34-year-old Barcelona captain may not, however, be available for Paris Saint-Germain when they face Montpellier in Saturday's Ligue 1 clash.
The Argentina captain, may, however, return against Manchester City in the Champions League next week.
The former Barcelona captain picked up a knee injury against Lyon, which forced him to undergo an MRI scan and sit out training.
He sat out the 2-1 win over Metz in midweek and will undergo a further assessment of his fitness on Sunday.
