Manchester United boss, Gunnar Solskjaer has told Cristiano Ronaldo's critics that the Portuguese is even excited by the talks about his age.
Many football fans believe that Ronaldo, 36, is now too old to play for Manchester United and to be paid the weekly wages he will receive at Old Trafford.
The 36-year-old left Juventus and has returned to Manchester United where he spent six years earlier in his career.
The Red Devils confirmed a deal had been struck with Juventus on Friday that will see the four-time Ballon D'Or winner join the side.
The formalities of the transfer are yet to be concluded and the Portugal captain was unable to make his debut at Wolves on Sunday.
"Of course we're excited by the whole story Cristiano has had at Manchester United," Solskjaer told reporters.
"The players are excited...
"I'm sure he likes all the talk about 'he's too old'. Make it personal and he will show what he can do."
