Paris Saint-Germain are working to bring Cristiano Ronaldo to the club to partner Lionel Messi as Kylian Mbappe's future remains in doubt.
Mbappe is currently being scouted by Real Madrid and the Ligue 1 giants are drawing up an audacious plan that would see Messi and Ronaldo play alongside each other for the first time, according to AS.
Six-time Ballon d'Or winner, Messi, arrived at the Paris-based club on a free transfer on Tuesday following his departure from Barcelona.
Book makers have also tipped Mauricio Pochettino's side as favourites to win this season's Champions League.
PSG landed 34-year-old Messi after Barcelona withdrew their contract offer and AS reports that they are bracing themselves to lose Kylian Mbappe on a free transfer in 2022 and want Ronaldo, who is also out of contract at Juventus next year, to replace him.
Already, contract renewal talks between Mbappe and the French club have stalled and the Frenchman is now expected to leave Paris.
The French side are already circling around Ronaldo, who will be available on a free transfer, and he is yet to intimate that he wants to extend his stay at Juventus.
The Portugal.international would be offered a two-year deal which means he would be 39 years old by the time the contract expires.
