Paris Saint-Germain president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, has said Kylian Mbappe has "no excuse" to leave the club, following Lionel Messi's arrival.
Messi was officially presented to the media on Wednesday morning, after signing a bumper two-year deal with the option of a third.
This comes as Mbappe is yet to sign a contract extension with PSG.
Mbappe will be able to leave on a free transfer next summer as things stand.
Real Madrid remains one of Frances' international's keenest suitors, with Liverpool also linked.
But Al-Khelaifi has insisted that the signing of Messi shows that PSG is a more attractive option than LaLiga or the Premier League.
He said: "I think we have the most competitive team. Now there is no choice for Kylian but to stay here in Paris.
"I think everybody knows the future of Kylian, people from Paris and the players.
"He is a really competitive player. He wants to win, he wants to win trophies, he said it in public.
"He wanted a competitive team and I think we have got the most competitive in the world. So there is no excuse for him now. He can't do anything else but stay."
