Chelsea have failed with a €100 million (£85.1m) move to sign Juventus winger Federico Chiesa, according to reports.
The 23-year-old's was one of Italy's star performers at Euro 2020 as he played a key role in helping his nation win the tournament.
Chiesa also secured a place in UEFA's Euro 2020 Team of the Tournament alongside his Italy teammates Gianluigi Donnarumma, Leonardo Bonucci, Leonardo Spinazzola and Jorginho.
Several clubs across Europe have been linked with a move for Chiesa, including Bayern Munich and Liverpool.
But according to Bild, Chelsea have made an approach to sign the Juventus winger and have indicated that they are willing to spend €100m (£85.1m) in order to reach an agreement.
However, Juventus have told Chelsea that they have absolutely no intention to sell the Italy international following his impressive performances at Euro 2020.
Chiesa initially joined Juventus from Fiorentina on a two-year loan deal worth €10m (£8.5m) last year, but Juve had an obligation to buy the winger for an additional €40m (£34m) plus a further €10m (£8.5m) in bonuses.
Speaking last week, Bayern Munich head coach Julian Nagelsmann admitted he is a huge fan of Chiesa.
'I would definitely want to sign Chiesa,' Nagelsmann told Bild.
