Portugal captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, has paid tribute to Denmark midfielder, Christian Eriksen, after the Inter Milan star collapsed during his country's Euro 2020 opener against Finland on Saturday.
Ronaldo urged Eriksen to stay strong, adding that he wants to see him back on the pitch.
The Juventus forward disclosed this in a post via his Instagram account at the weekend.
Recall that Eriksen had earlier fallen to the floor during Denmark's opener against Finland.
The former Tottenham playmaker was resuscitated on the pitch, with players and fans watching on in distressing scenes.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with Christian Eriksen and his family. The world of football stands together hoping for good news.
"I'm counting on finding you soon back on the pitch, Chris, stay strong," Portugal star Christian Ronaldo said.
