Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane, has removed Marcelo from his side's away squad to tackle Granada in the LaLiga on Thursday.
According to Goal, Zidane made the decision to drop Marcelo after he and the Brazilian left-back were engaged in a training ground fight on Tuesday.
The report added that Marcelo has been unimpressed with Zidane's tactics and starting line-ups of late and feel they have cost the side dear in recent weeks.
Things came to a head during Tuesday's training session, with both men believed to have had a heated argument.
However, there were some eyebrows raised when Marcelo's name was left off the team sheet for Thursday's clash against Granada, especially given that fellow full-back Ferland Mendy is out for the rest of the season.
Below is Real Madrid's squad against Granada:
Goalkeepers: Courtois, Lunin and Altube.
Defenders: E. Militão, Nacho, Odriozola and Miguel.
Midfielders: Kroos, Modrić, Casemiro, Valverde, Isco, Marvin and Blanco.
Forwards: Hazard, Benzema, Asensio, Vini Jr., Mariano and Rodrygo.
Meanwhile, LaLiga leaders Atletico Madrid's 2-1 over Real Sociedad on Wednesday means Zidane's men must claim three points against Granada to keep their title hopes alive.
Real Madrid currently sits five points behind Atletico in the LaLiga table with a game in hand.
