Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry, has said he is “available” only if the “right project” comes his way, after being asked about the vacant manager’s job at Celtic.
Henry left Montreal Impact last month citing personal reasons.
Celtic are looking for a new manager following Neil Lennon’s resignation in February.
And when asked about the possibility of becoming Celtic boss, Henry admitted he is open to the prospect and praised Steven Gerrard for the work he has done at Rangers.
“With all humility, whatever is going to come my way – I’m not saying that should come my way,” Henry said on the Robbie Fowler podcast.
“Whatever is going to come my way I’m going to try to evaluate. I’m sure they’re going to work on what they’re going to work on.
“I don’t know what’s happening there, this is a club I respect a lot, like a lot of people in the world, but that I don’t know about. All I know is that I want to coach.
“By the way, what Stevie G done [at Rangers] is just ridiculous. What a man, I knew he was going to deliver, what I like is that they gave him time to build a team, to go and grab the players he wanted to make sure they were going to play.
“I am just trying to learn. I am available. I don’t know what is going to come my way but I want to coach for sure.
“For me the project has to be the right one, not necessarily where or in what division.”
