Two more countries have qualified for the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations, following the conclusion of Match Day 5 fixtures.
They are Guinea and Burkina Faso.
Their qualification was confirmed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Thursday via its official Twitter page.
“Burkina Faso and Guinea are the latest to bag their qualification ticket,” the tweet read.
Burkina Faso drew 0-0 with Uganda, while Guinea defeated Mali 1-0.
Five countries had confirmed their places since 2020.
They are Cameroon, Senegal, Algeria, Mali and Tunisia.
Cameroon has an automatic slot as hosts.
17 spots are still up for grabs in the last two matchdays.
