Nigerian music legend, David Adeleke professionally known as Davido, has reacted to being named among the next 100 influential people on earth.
American magazine publication, TIME, released the much anticipated list on Wednesday afternoon, February 17.
Announcing the list on their verified Instagram page, they wrote,
"Introducing the 2021 TIME100 Next, featuring 100 emerging leaders who are shaping the future of entertainment, health, politics, business and more."
Shortly after the list was officially released, Davido took to his Instagram page to acknowledge the recognition while noting that he is proud to be included in the list.
Reacting to the news, Davido wrote,
"Proud to be included in the inaugural #TIME100NEXT list!!!! @time"

In other news, Davido recently expressed gratitude to God after his hit single "If" received an RIAA Gold plaque in the USA.
This is the second gold certification the afrobeats heavyweight is receiving after his hit track "Fall" went gold in 2020.
Davido took to his Twitter page to share a collage of his two Gold certifications and revealed that he has made history. According to him, "If" and "Fall" are the only afrobeat singles to go gold in America.
He tweeted,
"My 2nd Gold record !!! Oh God I am Grateful !! The Only two Afro beats solo singles to go Gold in the USA in Afro beats history !! God is good !!! ❤️❤️ ?? ?? MORE TO COME !"
