Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand, has said that captain, Harry Maguire, should be "embarrassed" for what he did during the club's 1-1 draw with West Brom last weekend.
Maguire was awarded a penalty in the second half of Sunday's draw at Hawthorns Stadium, but the decision was reversed after a VAR check.
The England defender later claimed he was "certain" he was fouled by West Brom player, Semi Ajayi.
Giving his judgment on the penalty drama, Ferdinand described the incident as a "bloody hell".
"If Harry's being honest, he will have woken up the next morning and been embarrassed with what he did," Ferdinand told the FIVE YouTube channel.
"It's not what you want to see from a defender. I don't think that's what he's prided himself on throughout his career.
"You try to be cute, I understand that, but you would be embarrassed really. He will watch it back and go, 'bloody hell, what was I thinking?'"
