Liverpool midfielder, Georginio Wijnaldum, will reject the club's offer of a new contract, in a bid to realise his boyhood ambition of playing for Barcelona, the UK Mirror reports.
Wijnaldum's contract expires this summer and a move to the Nou Camp is now looking very likely.
The 30-year-old is drawn to Barca, because of their tradition of fielding Dutch players and the opportunity to work with compatriot, Ronald Koeman.
A source said: "Barcelona has always been a big draw for him.
"It's a similar situation to when Gareth Bale left Tottenham for Real Madrid in that it is his ultimate destination."
Liverpool have tried to persuade Wijnaldum to extend his stay with them.
But they also increased midfield competition by signing Thiago Alcantara during the summer.
