Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has said he wants to settle a score with Manchester City, after both sides were drawn in the Carabao Cup semi-final.
Pep Guardiola's side eliminated United at the same stage last season and are chasing a fourth consecutive win in the tournament.
But Solskjaer has challenged his players to show they can bring success to Old Trafford.
United lost three semi-finals last season and their manager believes a one-off tussle with City represents a perfect chance to make a statement.
"We've had three semi-finals the last year of course and it's a step not far enough.
"This year again, as last year, we play them in the semi-finals so let's see how we fare," Solskjaer told the media after their 2-0 win over Everton on Wednesday night.
Edinson Cavani and Anthony Martial scored for the Red Devils at Goodison Park, as they sealed their place in the last four.
