Chelsea striker, Timo Werner, is set to equal the club's legend, Didier Drogba's record against Newcastle United in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
Werner will become the first Blues player in eleven years to score in five consecutive games for Chelsea since Drogba in November 2009 should he find the back of the net against Newcastle at St. James' Park today, Sports Mole reports.
Chelsea have won their last four fixtures against Krasnodar, Burnley, Rennes and Sheffield United, with Werner on the scoresheet each time.
Werner has so far scored eight goals in all competition for Chelsea.
The 24-year-old joined Frank Lampard's side from RB Leipzig last summer transfer window.
The Germany international, however, has a long way to go before catching Drogba, who netted 164 goals during his time at Stamford Bridge.
The Newcastle United vs Chelsea match is at 1:30 pm, Nigerian time.
