Liverpool could allow up to six players to leave this summer, following the signing of Thiago Alcantara and Diogo Jota, according to The Athletic.
Thiago has joined for an initial £20m from Bayern Munich and has been given the No.6 shirt.
The Reds have also confirmed the £41m capture of Jota from Wolves.
Those two deals bump the Premier League champions' summer spending up considerably.
Before then however, Jurgen Klopp had spent £11.5m on left-back Kostas Tsimikas.
Some of the Jota's payment will be offset by selling Ki-Jana Hoever to Wolves for a fee rising to £13.5m.
The Reds need to balance the books further though following the adverse impact of COVID-19.
Harry Wilson and Marko Grujic could bring in the biggest transfer fees. Both are valued at around £20m and Liverpool will not want to let them go on the cheap.
Liverpool also want to offload defenders Nat Phillips and Yasser Larouci along with out-of-favour goalkeeper Loris Karius.
Speculation also continues that Rhian Brewster could increase the Anfield exodus to six.
