Chelsea defensive midfielder, Ethan Ampadu, has left Stamford Bridge to join Premier League rivals, Sheffield United.
Ampadu joins Sheffield United on a season-long loan for the 2020/21 season.
Chelsea stated this in a statement via its official website on Monday night.
"Ethan Ampadu will continue his development in the Premier League with Sheffield United after joining the Blades on a season-long loan," Chelsea's statement read.
"It will be a second temporary switch for Ampadu, who turns 20 next week.
"He spent last season gaining experience at RB Leipzig, where he was a team-mate of Timo Werner's.
"He played seven games in Germany, including the full 90 minutes of a Champions League round of 16 wins at Tottenham on Leipzig's path to the semi-finals of that competition."
Ampadu joined Chelsea in 2017 from Exeter City.
He became the Blues' eighth-youngest debutant in a Carabao Cup game in September 2017.
