UEFA have confirmed that the Champions League fixture between Linfield and KF Drita has been cancelled following a positive COVID-19 test.
The preliminary round fixture between the Northern Ireland side and the Kosovan club was due to take place on Aug. 11 in Nyon, Switzerland.
This is coming after a Drita player tested positive for coronavirus on Monday, having produced a negative COVID-19 test on Aug. 7.
The entire Drita squad also tested negative for COVID-19 prior to their arrival in Switzerland.
However, a UEFA statement read in part: "A player from KF Drita returned a positive result for COVID-19 following testing on the eve of their match against Inter Club d'Escaldes (AND) in accordance with the UEFA's above-mentioned protocol.
"This player was put into quarantine, together with one teammate after traces found he had come into close contact with the affected player.
"This second positive test of a player who was in contact with other members of the delegation over the last days has prompted the Swiss authorities to put the whole Kosovan team into quarantine.
"Accordingly, the upcoming fixture can't be played."
