Chelsea winger, Willian, wants a three-year contract because it will make him continue playing until when he clocks 35-year-old, according to Sky Sports' Kaveh Solhekol.
We recall that Arsenal had already made a formal three-year contract offer to Willian.
Willian will be a free agent as soon as Chelsea's Champions League campaign ends this month.
The 31-year-old recently rejected Chelsea's latest offer to sign a new two-year contract at Stamford Bridge.
But Solhekol believes Willian wants one big final contract in his career that will see him earn more money.
"Willian wants one big final contract - ideally a three-year deal to take him to 35. Chelsea would like to keep him, though they are not going to offer him three years," Solhekol was quoted by Sky Sport as saying.
"At the moment, it looks like Arsenal is his most likely destination, but he's a free agent, and at his age, realistically, you are likely to go where there's the most money and longest contract on offer.
"He's got a great injury record so his agent will be saying, 'Do not worry about his fitness'."
