Manchester United star Juan Mata may be finding it rosy on the football pitch, but the Spaniard is not finding it easy to make gains at his restaurant after recording £772,086 debts.
This is not an encouraging one for the former Chelsea winger who opened the restaurant known as Tapeo and Wine four years ago in Manchester.
Juan Mata, according to a report, opened the eatery so as for him to be getting Spanish food on a regular basis in the city where he stays.
According to the report on UK Sun, Juan Mata's father Rodriguez has been the one handling everything at the restaurant since it was opened.
The report added that Tapeo and Wine started recording huge debts two years ago in which auditors were said to have alerted the Manchester United star.
But despite serious complaints about the rise in the debts, Juan Mata was said to have ignored the reports and vowed to support the restaurant financially.
"The company is dependent upon the financial support of JMM Rodriguez who has indicated that he will not withdraw this financial support in the foreseeable future.
"On this basis, the directors consider it appropriate to prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis,'' a report into the firm's trading revealed, according to UK Sun.
Meanwhile, Juan Mata and his teammates at Manchester United are currently occupying fifth position on the Premier League table with 2 games to end the season.
