Barcelona gaffer Quique Setien and his captain at the Nou Camp Lionel Messi have reportedly held a showdown meeting on how the Spanish side can win the Champions League.
Setien has been under serious pressure at Barcelona since the resumption of football in Europe, and there has been speculation over his future.
The Catalans threw away a two-point lead and they suffered the consequence as Real Madrid won the 2019/20 Spanish La Liga title which should have been lifted by Barcelona.
Fans at the Camp Nou have been clamoring for a new manager to replace Setien this summer with former player Xavi already being linked with the job.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Quique Setien wants his players to seek redemption for the La Liga crown they lost by going for the Champions League.
The report added that Setien and Messi agreed to "leave their reluctance" aside to rescue their Champions League dream.
"It is true that we have had a deep reflection on the situation.
"We are all excited about the Champions League. It is true that we have spoken and it has served us well because some things have been cleaned up,'' Setien explained.
In February, Barcelona got a vital 1-1 way draw against Napoli and are in a good position to qualify for the quarter-final of the Champions League.
Last term, the Catalans reached the semi-final of the championship and were sent out by Liverpool who went on to win the title.
