Manchester United has identified Watford forward, Ismaïla Sarr, as a cheaper alternative to Borussia Dortmund winger, Jadon Sancho, according to Sunday Mirror.
We recall that the Red Devils remain favourite to agree to a deal for Sancho this summer's transfer window.
Dortmund has already told United to sign Sancho before August 10.
Man United have seen their revenue streams hit hard because of the coronavirus pandemic and will have less money to spend this summer.
But Dortmund is still unwilling to budge on their £155million asking price for Sancho.
Meanwhile, a former Manchester United, captain, Gary Neville, has since urged the club to sign Sarr as Sancho's alternative.
"Man United needs a right-winger. He's a big, big talent, honestly, he really is," Neville said about Sarr on Sky Sports' The Gary Neville Podcast after Watford's 3-1 defeat to West Ham on Friday.
"We have seen his performances before but tonight he was a shining light, even in that first half there were periods where Watford did attack and it was through him."
