Messi and Ronaldo set to finally play together for the same team alongside Rooney, Pogba

Former Man United striker Carlos Tevez is planning to get Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi play for the same team in a star-studded testimonial match.

Tevez played alongside Ronaldo for two years at Man United and played together with Messi for the Argentine national team.

The 36-year-old who recently signed a six-month extension with Boca Juniors, is planning a grand testimonial after he retires from football, as he wants Ronaldo and Messi to be part of it.

According to him, he would want to include Ronaldo and Messi in his starting XI for his testimonial match against an opponent.

He told Argentine station Radio La Red: "If I had to assemble the team it would consist of [Gianluigi] Buffon, Hugo Ibarra, Rio Ferdinand, Gabriel Heinze, Patrice Evra, Andrea Pirlo, Paul Scholes, Paul Pogba, Cristiano [Ronaldo], Leo Messi and Wayne Rooney."

Tevez was however quick to note he isn't considering retiring from football any time soon.

He said: "I leave all possibilities open [about my future], as I do not want to be a slave to my words.

"Of course, in Argentina [there's] only Boca [for me].

But I would like to return to West Ham to be applauded for six months.

"Or spend six months at Corinthians. I won't rule anything out because I don't want to be a slave to my words."
